07/12/11 How the Internet of things can be developed towards intelligent business processesTransport logistic in Munich is the international most important exhibition for logistics, mobility, IT and supply-chain management. It is a marketplace and a source of impetus that brings trade visitors from around the world together with exhibitors' innovative, future-oriented solutions. The visitors are international decision-makers from the transport and logistics sector, industry, commerce and research. (Source: http://www.transportlogistic.de/) The Fraunhofer institutes IESE, IML and ITWM presented at transport logistic 2011 how the Internet of Things supports event driven and optimize processes in the airfreight carring. The Fraunhofer institute IML demonstrated a RFID scenario with a focus on automated recording and identifying of real time data during a truck loading of goods. In this context Fraunhofer IESE presented opportunities for future mobile devices in logistics. As example, the freight carrier gets all shipment information and can react accordingly to the requirements. Fraunhofer ITWM presented a tool for shared decision support. The means of transport options also for complex logistics supply chains can be planed local.
