ADiWa seeks on exploring novel paradigms in user interaction

Workshop on Semantic Models for Adaptive Interactive Systems, Palo Alto

Research in ADiWa seeks on exploring novel paradigms in user interaction, context-sensitive, proactive user assistance, and user interface development, employing semantic models and ontologies as one core technology.

On February 13th, Heiko Paulheim, member of the ADiWa project team at SAP Research, has co-organized and co-moderated  the second Workshop on Semantic Models for Adaptive Interactive Systems (SEMAIS) at the International Conference on Intelligent User Interface (IUI) in Palo Alto, together with Jürgen  Ziegler and Tim Hussein from University of Duisburg-Essen, and Stephan Lukosch from TU Delft. The workshop encompassed contributions on new aspects of user interface development based on semantic models, as well as novel fields of applications of semantic models in user interfaces, e.g., in the fields of car navigation or public security.
